I like it ok. It's above average and a pretty good place to take the family in N.O.

Beats the hell out of the likes of Serranos, Nacho Mammas, and 80% of the grease and cheese shite holes in the state that pretend to serve Mexican food.

Aren't we currently boycotting Superior in BR due to a traffic safety issue with one of their managers?

What's your point? The place is packed. So is Chili's.

Has the local Chili's won all of those awards? I think that's his point.

It's mediocre. Not disgusting, but far from anything special.

Oh and those awards are bullshite. Worse than the Peoples Choice Awards.

Irony. Friends wanted to go tonight. Not great, not bad. Not very crowded for a Saturday. Still a bit over priced.

They need a to put a sign by the guacamole: "No Avocados Were Harmed In The Making Of This Quac."

All onions and tomatoes with almost zero avocado.

Guac has always been bad there. But that's always been how it is so I avoid it. Salsa is always good IMO though.

I prefer it over Chili's and Applebees...overpriced a bit, but I enjoyed it the several times I've been.

Who else in metro BR area is better with a similar menu? On The Border? La Fonda? Right. Mamacita's was great when it was open...hated that it closed.

New Orleans residents surely think highly of it.

Yeah, those things are always accurate of what the majority actually think! Do people believe what 225 says in BR too?

Its usually busy so the wait is the worst thing. Good food for the price imo. I don't get where everyone says its expensive? Its really no different than others.

Aren't the fajitas $30?

His point was NO people support the place as well as the new Superior Seafood as much as BR supports the place while Fun Bunch was taking a half assed swipe about BR chains.

In other words, he realized Fun Bunch is a douchebag and no one else seemed to catch it.

No doubt that there are people in N.O. that go to Superior Grill and Superior Seafood. But the food at both is mediocre, and I don't see a reason to go either. Those "best restaurant" awards are based upon the collective votes of any yahoos who takes the time to vote. Most of them haven't even been to other restaurants.

As far as N.O. and B.R. are concerned, clearly there is a market in N.O. for a greater number of higher quality restaurants . . . for whatever reason. That's not a swipe at B.R. at all. It's just a fact.

I understand that and you are correct but his first post was just a lame attempt at humor, hence the douchebag labeling.

It's one of those places that is cool to hate on this board. It's good stuff - don't expect to have a religious experience eating it or anything, but unless you pretend it's below the level of Taco Bell on this board, then you have shitty taste in food.

The one in Shreveport and Birmingham are regarded as better than the NOLA and BR ones by most who have been to multiple locations.

I've been to all, with the Birmingham one being far too long ago for me to give a credible opinion, but they're all pretty similar to me. There are some menu variations and for whatever reason I've found the Shreveport and BR locations to be better than nola but not to any great extent.
