Are any of these worth the $? I don't care anything about making my own dough, I'm cool with a flour torilla so I'm not trying to be an artisan pizza chef. Just thinking of something to add to my redneck outdoor kitchen.

If you have a Weber Kettle, I'd recommend just grabbing a Kettle Pizza insert. Works great for me.

I was given a knock off Ooni (I think it's called an Outi?) as a gift. Runs on pellets, charcoal, or wood. It's difficult to get the stone temp and the air temp both correct. I would either end up with the top done and the bottom undercooked or the bottom burnt and top not done right. Once the temp would get right it would only last for long enough to do 1 or 2 pizzas and I'd have to start farting with the fuel again. I used it a couple of times and got tired of it. There's probably a knack to getting the temp right but I never played around with it enough to figure it out. I don't know if the better ovens are insulated or not but this one isn't. Seems like that'd help keep temp steady as well as save fuel.

I had better luck with a stone in my Bullseye as far as consistency/ease of use goes.

I have the Char Griller faux egg and wondered if putting a stone on it would work. Doubt the top gets flame kissed like the sure enough ovens do. I'll probably just give that a whirl.

Why would you get a wood fired oven to cook flour tortilla pizzas?

A couple of years ago someone posted this: Do it yourself pizza oven

Edit to add: this definitely would work in a redneck outdoor kitchen.

The Oonis are all solid, as are others I'm sure. It's nothing too sophisticated.

That said, everyone I know (including me) with an Ooni has ended up adding the gas line.

Because I just want one and I think it would be cool to have a hot delicious pie in like 90 seconds that isn't microwaved.

I looked hard at pizza ovens last fall but opted for a pizza stone in my pellet grill. Space is an issue for me, if I had the room for it I'd have bought an Ooni (or something similar).

I have this. It works great and is good if you are just wanting to do a few pizzas every so often.

I mean, I guess you do you?

That's like buying a Lamborghini and only driving it 25 to the piggy wiggly.
