Has anyone had the Tony Chachere's stuffed chickens?

We used to get the Savoie's version, but I don't know if they make them anymore. If Tony C's is good, we'll go with that one.

A specialty meat shop is probably your best bet. That way it will def be fresh.

I had one a few years ago that was just ok. I doctored it up and it was still only ok and I am really not that picky.

I imagine the foodies on this board would probably all hate them. They aren't fresh and I recall it was kind of bland which surprised me. I guess they didn't even use their own seasoning.

I haven't had one in years but I saw them at Walmart in the frozen food section.

Yes.They are good, but you'll need to add more seasoning to the skin prior to cooking. Not as good as Hebert's, but good still.

I ride down to Heberts quite often and stock up. Crawfish jalapeno cornbread is phenomenal.

There is a great place in Visalia that stuffs Everything. Right next to the Walmart, maybe two miles from the river.
