So do you pour off your purge water in a differed location from where your pot is located for the boil?
Correct.

Good video T. I use all the same accoutrement as you minus the oranges. Figure if I want to taste something citrus I'll just have a glass of orange juice...lol
And I
when you said 80-100 gallon pot.
And I

yeah I misspoke, it happens

Your name and closing cracked me up. I've never seen frozen water bottles before... I always do a 10lb bag of ice. What made you choose to use the water bottles?
Adding ice dilutes the water. If you’re doing just one batch it’s find but not for multiple batches. I’ve done the water bottles. But I find it easier to spray the outside of the pot with the water hose to cool it off
Great video. Most are about 10 mins explaining unnecessary things, so I appreciate the succinct nature of yours.
I like seeing what people add to theirs. Never seen celery before. Mushrooms, artichokes, etc are always tasty. I don't think I have ever done it the same way twice. Something always seems to change. I've hosed mine down to cool it off before, but that was in Arizona when I didn't need to worry about creating a mudhole. I found that frozen corn does a good enough job, but I also add more than you did in this vid.

Have you ever had undercooked crawfish at a boil? I haven't. Have you ever had overcooked crawfish at a boil? Most definitely. One of the most important things I tell people is to cut the fire when they start to float and soak until they're not floating anymore. I use the frozen corn and a little ice to start the cooling process after the fire is cut. The crawfish are still cooking after the fire is turned off, so don't overcook them by keeping it on too long.

Most of the time you really don't even need to bring it back to a boil.

Where did you get the bucket and strainer to clean the crawfish? It looks like it would be easier then cleaning them in the ice chest which I’ve been doing my whole life!!

The strainer is a crabbing hamper and the bucket is a big bucket with rope handles, i think they are on amazon.

I use the strainer in my pot when I wash them. Got a big bucket I put rope handles on that I put the strainer in. I boil my sides in a big laundry bag.
The crab hamper works great though. I just didn't wanna spend the money on one.
