Taking a buddy out for his birthday with 3 other guys. Is Doe’s the best place for steak in BR?

Ruth’s by a mile over Ruffino’s for steak

Not taking a shot against Ruffino’s because I love Ruffino’s. I eat there at least 3x a month.

Doe's sells choice meat at prime prices. You decide if Doe's is the correct choice.

You can't go wrong with Ruffinos, Ruth, or Flemings

I gave Stabs two tries. Once right when it opened and a second time six weeks later. It wasn’t great and it was expensive (even for a prime steak place). I won’t be back unless something changes. FWIW though, the bar was kicking and the drinks were good.

Their HH menu has 6-7 small plate options for $5 each, which is one of the better deals in town. Been meaning to hit it up.

No interest in trying it for steak. Ruth's sits at the top pretty high above everything else.

Gave Doe's a really honest try, wanting to prove my SO who hates it wrong. I couldn't do that, unfortunately. It was nowhere near worth $140.

I've had people tell me they prefer the central location, but that the one on Jefferson has more variety. So who knows. it should be better in year 2 then year 1 with leo being on board

Just curious, why you single them out for not going to?

Huh? Me and my SO can go there for under $100 easily including drinks and tip. We usually split a two pound ribeye.

Doe's is made for couples that like the same kind of steak doneness so you can split a large cut.

I love going to Doe's for restaurant week too.
