I haven't seen Buffalo Trace in a grocery store in quite some time.
But i always have it on my liquor shelf b/c for some reason it's always available at my local CVS.

was talking on the phone to a buddy in TX about this. he said "shiiiiii, i can walk in anywhere and get buffalo trace." i said well get me a couple bottles then. ill be in houston in 2 weeks. He got 3 bottles and then sent me a pic of about 15 bottles of weller special reserve. 10 750s and 5 1.75 bottles. i asked him to grab me a few of each.

eta: the bottles of weller had literal dust on them

yo where is he going for the weller?

I am no bourbon freak but my cousins from kentucky are. They were shocked that EH Taylor would be on the shelves in Houston. It was dumb luck honestly because i have not seen it since the last time they were in town.

this is crazy to me. I could leave right now and drive around town and have 2 dozen bottles if I wanted too.

Weller Sr was all over when I was in Houston for the hurricane. I spent a day driving around the heights, total wine & specs both had it.

Weller anything is allocated here, and often marked up. The last time I saw the SR on the shelf it was $60, so I passed.

It's good, but not that good.

It’s allocated here too. Not my favorite brand line anyway. But I’ll grab some if I see it for gifts

Benchmark is the same Nashville from Buffalo Trace Distillery. It's a lower abv, though. They make a BM full proof, single barrel, etc but I don't think it's made its way down south yet.

Would be nice to buy online and have liquor shipped to your house in Louisiana.

You can do this

I've ordered from a few different places and had it delivered to my home. I have two bottles being shipped to me currently

Haven't tried BT yet, only drink like 10x's a year now. Y'all got me wanting some. How y'all drink it ? On the rocks, mixed with something ? I'm not really a on the rocks person but I am willing to try it like that.

People stand in line for Buffalo Trace in North Carolina. Dont even mention Blantons or Eagle Rare. I'm not joking...

I can vouch for that.

9/10 if I'm drinking whiskey it's neat or in a cocktail. The rare occasion that I'll drink it on the rocks is if it's something finished that basically tastes like a cocktail already (Seagrass or Dovetail are really the only pours that I'll drink on the rocks, and those are typically my Summer go-to's).

I haven't seen EH Taylor on any shelf in Houston in probably 3 years.

I've got 3 bottles left from a couple cases I procured in New Orleans a few years ago.

My favorite juice.

This current order is from ReserveBar, but I've ordered from Seelbach's, Pstreetwines, Don's, some other liquor store in DC, KegnBottle, and I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Not all places will ship to LA, but there are many who will.

My friends in Michigan have said the same thing, but I saw it at River Ridge Discount a few days ago.
