This place lasted a while. Want to say it was implemented around 2010 or so. Maybe this new venture will do better.
Anyone ever eat at the Sporting News grill? The reviews online were awful.

Is this a situation like back when Time Warner sent a Cease and Desist letter to Sports Illustrated bar in Tigerland?

It sucked. No effort was put into the place. I figure it lasted that long because the hotel owned it

Maybe tourists will keep this place running, because the locals will not.

Not to be a snob, but why on Earth would I go to a sports bar inside a mid-priced hotel in my city? There are enough halfway decent sports bars in Baton Rouge that I don't have to dip into that. I mean, I've eaten at restaurants in the Renaissance and the Watermark, but those are a far more of a draw than something that at best is probably at the Buffalo Wild Wings level.

It most likely is. The owners of the Crowne Plaza and the Holiday Inn in Baton Rouge also own properties in Columbia, MO and Knoxville, TN.

I could do some major damage on an all you can eat taco bar, if it is decent. Something about that ad tells me it won't be worth trying though

I'm with you, if I'm needing a sports bar and for some reason am on Siegen, I would pick hooters, twin peaks, TJ Ribs.

I've always wanted to do an alternative pub crawl in that strip. Start at the holiday inn, hit up the embassy suites bar, then that Mexican place (tio javi's?) and/or Chili's, and finally wind up on Bennington to hit up the Triple A and the strip club. Would be epic
