Anyone know if it is still open? Never really see anyone over there....

Geez. Were they even open 6 months? Seems like they were working on the place longer than it was actually open...

They had a food truck first and were going to move into the place next to Mike Anderson’s until they decided on the place down Hooper.

They were going to open next to Mike Anderson's before Central stepped in and wouldn't allow them to open at that location because of lack of parking.

Mayor's buddy owns location on Hooper that was empty due to previous business closing because of flood and owner killed in car accident and wife injured too. So Central basically told them he can open there and take care of lease for friend. Typical Central politics. Why we can't have anything nice.

Of course this was the rumor.

I'm surprised he tried to open with that name considering Southern Pride is one of the big manufacturers of commercial pits.

Chef walker was a little off, but that dudes brisket was legit. I miss it.
