I think its better if you smoke them first at a low temp to take on good smoke flavor and a ring......theeeeeeen you deep fry them.

Like smoked hog crackling.

We will sous vide a Boston butt and then deep fry it.

I would think basically anything would be better than boiled.

It's amazing to me that some of y'all still laugh at sous vide. OP says he's done plenty of traditional ribs and is curious about other techniques. No need to laugh at him for branching out and trying new things.

Those DO look damn good

They 100% were ...and I highly doubt you could get them as tender and juicy as they were with out SV.

Bet I'd surprise you...

AND it'll have that awesome smoke flavor you can't get with SV.

My only deal with sous vide is why in the hell would you wanna "cook" something 96 hours when it can be done in 2. I have little doubt it produces tender juicy meat. But if you know and monitor your meat temps, you can do the same in 1/4 the time.

I'm glad you guys enjoy it. More power to you. I mean that in a good way. Just not my thing.

Those do look good too, those are deep fried?

I think we need to taste test all the different versions up in here.

Got me hungry and I’m full

No, just smoked. And I agree to any and all tastings...lol

I'll cover the ribs...you bring the bourbon. And not Eagle Rare either! (though I do love it)

With merely 10x the work

I haven’t done ribs but sv is just super easy to get reliably great results from meat with nearly zero effort and just a little pre planning
