Maybe some idiot will not anchor this thread like the other.

We had almost all of the small plates including a couple off menu which were French toast with duck bacon, a duck pot pie and the pears and prosciutto. These three were outstanding.

Bayou eggs, bruschetta, scallops were good as well. Cerviche tacos were not my favorites but some liked them. We did not get the portobello and I believe that might have been the only one we didn't get.

We liked the place. It's loud but I'm ok with that as long as I can hear the discussion at my table. Pretty crowded as well. Need to add a few better middle line wines to the list instead of letting the distributor decide but we made do. We will go back.

Walked upstairs to The Office and that is a great room and rooftop. Pretty empty with a girl singing some good Jazz but we had a couple cocktails. Then she stopped singing, the disco ball came on, a dj started and the affliction crowd poured in. That was my exit stage right. I'm too old for that shite. If the girl would have kept singing we would have stayed longer.

I hope it does well and it's been several months since I've been out downtown and I was pleasantly surprised at how many people were out. Street was hopping pretty good even at midnight.

I was there last night as well. The place was packed, but fun. I was with a group of 6, so I basically ordered 2 of every small plate for the table. I thought everything was pretty solid. I was also a few glasses of bourbon down though. The scallops were huge. The bayou eggs were good. The one thing I found good but kinda weird was th curried mussels. Nice rich curry flavor, but it was almost candied. And slightly cold. I will definitely go back. Found it to be much better than Zolia. More food for your money, and more flavor.

Oh I forgot about the mussels. They were good too and I'm pretty particular about mussels. Whatever that sliced bread was with them dipped well into the sauce. We had a table of six as well. Couple of them ordered salads which were good too.

Service was good which was a plus. Those girls were hopping and I appreciate that as well. I'll go back sooner rather than later. I'm a big fan of small plates. This is what I like about Bacchus too.

Yeah the service was on point and quick. Food came out pretty fast as well.

Damn, just remembered the truffle spaghetti. Spaghetti part was decent, but that damn meatball was ridiculously good.

Good review. I know my gf and I really enjoyed it when we went. Pretty sure we got the oysters, the grits and grillades, and the tacos. Funny because it seemed to have gotten a lot of hate when it first opened. I really hope it does well.

ETA: Only bad thing was my gf ordered a vodka, water, lime and they made it with tonic water. She gagged when she took a sip

Been twice and enjoyed both. Second time try missed on a dish or two, but not bad enough to remember. The duck crepes had too many mushrooms unlike the first when it they were perfect.

I like the food at Zoila better, only been once though, but the atmosphere at IPO makes up for the slight difference.

Service has always been great and they seem to like for you to linger rather than bringing the check at the first sign of you putting your fork down.

I was there last night as well. Thought it was pretty good. Party of two shared the sweet potato crusted tuna salad, duck crepes, deviled eggs, scallops, and crawfish pie.

Tuna salad was just ok. Would not order again.

Duck crepes were solid. Deviled eggs were awesome I could of ate 10.

Crawfish pie was nothing special.

The scallops themselves were amazing cooked perfectly. However something went horribly wrong with the hollandaise sauce. It was one of the worst sauces I have ever tasted, like motor oil. Luckily it was served to the side.

We got the chocolate dessert and the sweet potato bread pudding. Pudding was awesome, chocolate was meh.

I'll be back to try their other offerings.
