A broiler pan? I have a 36" range that I'd love to replace at some point, it went completely under (salt) water in Katrina. Lost the broiler, the self ignition of the burners, and Jenn-Air wouldn't sell me the insulation so we just stuffed it with what we could find. We use a countertop oven most of the time now, and lighting the burners is getting old. frick $5k though.

do you get to alabama often? there's a guy..in birmingham i think..that sells a shitton of jenair, wolf, viking, etc etc from the shadiest warehouse in the southeast for pennies.

you can pretty much have the pick of the lot for under $2k but his stash is always changing.

i *think* what's going on is there is some rule whereby the units have to be destroyed if x y or z happens and he simply doesn't destroy the units but fixes the issue and sells them.

i haven't been brave enough to take the trip down there with that much cash in my pocket but have several friends who have. the stuff they come back with is incredible.

i will try to find the name or number unless someone else on here happens to know.

I'd do that in a heartbeat, especially if he could source parts too.

If you're plastidipping your range, the affluence was gone without worrying about the fan.

In my defense that's not a very commonly used word. Good catch on the spelling.

Another CAD=GOAT thread.

I'd drive to save a few thousand on a new range. Should I bring a gun in case things go south?

How sketchy is this baw?

I like NSX, they are much more dependable than the new Thermidors, AND you don't have to worry about tearing the gas lines when trying to remove the star burner hold down nut.
