Smoked Tomato & Basil Bisque w/ pics

I DO NOT like tomato soup, but I had a smoked tomato bisque one time and loved it.
So I finally made my own and it’s pretty damn good.
Here is the recipe I used. I did add my own homemade bacon, basil, and a little sugar (3 tblsp but I did double the recipe). The recipe says to brown some bacon with the butter, then remove the bacon bits. I left the bits in. I also added a handful of Roma tomatoes.

Not that I wouldn’t eat it, but that looks off. Shouldn’t look watery and oily like that

It’s thick enough to hold up spinach and large bacon bits (see 2 posts back)

It looks great man, but I gotta have a protein in there somewhere. Maybe a pan-fried center cut (thick) pork chop.
