The one I've had great experiences with is on the river-side of Magazine about halfway between Louisiana and Napoleon. May be the only gas station in that stretch, so it's hard to miss.

It's good stuff and a lot of food for the money. It's on my street, so I go down there for a quick bite occasionally.

Block past Lilette on the river side of Magazine
I haven't tried it, but might hit it this week if I remember

Isn't it in a gas station store?

Yep, swung by this lil place today and was pleasantly surprised. Owner and wife were behind the counter, food was freshly prepared. Fattoush salad w side of shawarma hit the spot. Didn't try the hummus, rice, etc. Happy to have found a real spit shawarma place uptown.

Been several times. Hummas has been hit and miss. Falafel is pretty good. Shwarma and gyro are about normal for the sysco pre-packaged and broiled stuff.
Pitas could be better, but it is a gas station.
Sidenote, Stella Maris in Arabi-baby has some pretty good greek/Mediterranean. Shwarma/gyro is more traditional style.
