1st place - holygrale, by a landslide!
2nd place - Darla Hood
3rd place - Big Dropper, with btrtigerfan nipping at your heels

See all submissions here

Cutest Sous Chef - Little Boo!

Jax, your shrimp and grits beat your chili jam.

MD, your dishes tied with each other. Sorry that I hadn’t noticed that one of your voters didn’t specify, but I gave it to your second dish, for the tie. It wasn’t going to change the outcome, regardless.

Every single participant got points on the board! That shows how many good dishes they were.

Holygrale chooses the next challenge ingredient! Congrats HG, your hard work paid off. Just not with money.

Date for next would fall on the day after Christmas, which doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. What do y’all think about the Monday after Christmas? Maybe it would be something you make for a holiday meal, or some such.

Suggestions welcomed, but possibly ignored.

Agreed! Lots of good entries.

Day after Christmas might be tough. Maybe the Monday after so you can cook that weekend?

Congratulations to the winners - and to everyone else. The competition is really tough and anyone foolish enough to enter must bring their A game.

Good job - everyone who posted.

Thanks Darla. It is a nice recipe.

Actually I am stepping out for a while. The wife has esophageal surgery scheduled this coming Tuesday if Covid cooperates. After her surgery she will not be able to eat any solid food for at least a month, maybe longer. And I get no pleasure from cooking if she can't eat.

I am certain the folks who post here won't be interested in any meal we have for the next few months.
