Can I do these items together?

Thinking of bring the seasoned water to a boil
Drop both items in.

Right when it starts to boil, cut the fire and drop some ice so they can soak

Head on shrimp or heads off?

Should I do it like this guy?

I doubt it, king crab legs are already steamed, you are just heating them up

OP sounds like a decent plan, but with as little cooking time as it will be , why not do them separately? And I would kill the fire as soon as you drop the seafood in, no need to bring it back to a boil

I like head on boiled shrimp but either will be fine

Boil your shrimp as you normally would then drop the crab legs in to act as your ice.

The crab legs are already cooked, so they only need to be heated. Remember that king crab is pretty salty by nature. Maybe, avoid soaking them very long. Personally, I prefer the king crab flavor without the crab boil flavor as the meat is so sweet, but many folks like to put them in seafood boils.

I do not know how to cook them exavtly, but it's the best way I've had crab legs. Still utilize butter, but the Cajun boil seasoning fits so well

Don't boil headless shrimp, missing some of the best flavoring if you do that.
