re: Shake Shake to replace Lagers in Metairie

There isn’t a conversation to be had really

I will accept some people will like the frozen crinkle cut fries better, because on a micro level there are also people that like well done steak more than medium rare


But on a macro level it isn’t worth even entertaining the idea shake shacks fries are better than atomic. It isn’t. Their fries are the bottom of the French fry barrel

I dont think frozen crinkle cut fries are better in general, just that theyre better than Atomic's

Places like Company Burger, Cowbell, Hi Hat knows how to execute a hand cut fry.

Ive eaten Atomic once a month or so since they opened, I enjoy their food. Maybe you're the fanboi since you seem to be defensive?

I like their fries but I would agree they are generally greasy & soggy with random crisp pieces. When I bring up eating there The wife tries to shoot it down because of it: but it’s great hangover food cause the burgers are an even bigger greasy mess

Also, you mentioned drive thru. Are you ordering, then leaving the fries in a closed bag before eating? Because if so, yes fresh fried food will become mushy like this

Ive probably done the drive thru twice over there, but i would not expect the same quality as if I were dining in. Ive really never had "good" fries there, but I also dont get them every time I go in the name of attempting to eat less carbs

I’m weird but I like soggy fries.
