Anyone have recs for seafood markets in Houston? I'm not interested in driving down to Kemah.

The only helpful thread I found was from 2013. Are Airline Seafood on Richmond and Woodlands Seafood still the two better ones?

What are you looking for?

I’ve found, for the most part, that on the weekends my local HEB has just as good of a selection as any of the “local” small seafood places in Houston.

Airline Seafood on Richmond and the seafood counter at Central Market get my money.

Sorry no help, but I always thought it was ridiculous that for such a large city so close to the Gulf, there are no decent seafood markets in Houston. Even raw shrimp not farm raised or flown in from Vietnam costs 2-3 times more than in New Orleans. I guess no one cooks seafood there.

Raw Gulf shrimp is $3/lb in New Orleans?

Yep.

If you want a larger selection, head to Kemah (Rose's specifically).

I appreciate the suggestions.

I'll check out H-Mart, 99 Ranch, and the new HEB that just opened by me. I'm still waiting for the ridiculous crowds to subside at the Shep HEB.

In The Heights? Haha, good luck with that...place is crazier than the Montrose HEB.

I’ve been a lot in the last few weeks and it’s died down pretty good. After work no issue getting a spot on the top level, easy in and out. I wouldn’t try that at 3 on a Sunday afternoon

Yeah, Heights HEB. That whole area is now fricked. It’s made getting in/out of my neighborhood a PITA.
