Is there a way to do this? Someone elderly and picky with what they drink. Have a 12oz can that they only drink half. They don’t make a smaller size.

I am not a gulper, I sip. So, I avoid cans, I buy drinks with twist off CAPS.

I used to cover tightly in aluminum foil. Helped a little bit.

Unless it's got a screw cap, the CO2 (killing the Earth, OMG!!!) will push it's way out of any sort of other cover.
I think every Coke/Pepsi/Dr Pepper flavor makes 7.5 ounce cans, which are available almost everywhere (well, at least H-E-B in Texas and at Sam's.)

Buy a 16-oz bottled drink, drink it, rinse out the bottle, and pour the can's contents into it.

If it's a big enough issue, a soda stream might be a good investment. Poor leftover coke in one the bottles then re-carbonate before drinking the rest.
