Ruth Chris is only liked by people around here b/c it was started in NOLA.... hate to say it but (now) its a far cry from being NOLA good.
I am sure it was GREAT in the 60's and 70's

Yet, they open a couple new restaurants per year all across the world. They have built an empire....if they really were serving gross steaks, this would not have been possible at their price point.

Mcdonalds has a "empire" too but their hamburgers are shite.

most considering it a chain in their eyes, not a local restaurant. But everyone knows they know how to cook a steak

yeah, it's def a chain with 100+ locations. Haven't they relocated their headquarters to FL anyway?
it's overpriced, but they do cook a good steak.

Since people want to ask what is different. Can someone answer this?
If I do prefer a USDA Prime Steak from say Little Village and it only costs me 28 dollars and comes with sides.
Why would I want to eat at Ruths and pay more? I really dont care what temp their broiler gets up to or if it were cooked sous-vide. Why shouldnt taste buds and wallet rule the decision?

I recently did a taste test at LV and RC. I prefer RC. It is simply better in all categories.
BTW: They pushed their bread on me. I didn't take the bait. Amateurs.
