Rouses has always been shitty

This x 1000
Everything is overpriced except their low grade Rouse brand garbage, especially the deli meats. There chicken is always previously frozen as is a lot of the pork and beef. The produce leave a lot to be desired.
Once I needed a pork tenderloin and didn’t see any in the showcase. Rang the bell asked the butcher if they had some in the back. Went check and came out with a typical package with two in it with a label with a twenty something dollar price. When I questioned that he told me it was prime. I told him no thank you. He said he could get the manager I told I’ll get the manager on my way out. That was my last time at Rouse. We have 3, within 5 mile radius. I’ll either go to Walmart or the local IGA before Rouse or I’ll just do without.

Checking in to say the Rouses on the Lakefront might be the most pathetic excuse for a grocery store I’ve seen in a hot minute. Just wow. I’ve seen a better selection of produce at gas stations. Went there out of convenience, but never again. I’ll go to Robert or MidCity. It was astounding.

You should see the Canseco’s on Elysian Fields

There’s a long thread on Next Door where the black people are claiming the produce at that rouses and cansecos is terrible bc it’s predominantly black in that area

old grocery stores they turned into Rouses are shite.

truth !

the location in prairieville that used to be the leblanc's "frais marche" is horrible. We shopped there almost exclusively when it was leblanc's. now we avoid it.

Been shopping at Harvest. But, i heard a rumor they were being purchased. Anyone know anything about that?

Power Blvd
Clearview
Labarre are the 3 I go to most often

Labarre is nicest one. I usually go to Dorignacs for produce and meat/butcher department.

Agree I don't get seafood at grocery store.

I went to a Rouses in Mandeville and a Rouses in Lafayette in the last year and the selection is night and day vs what they have in Metairie. Would love it if they had same quality at each location.
