The plan was to stop at Darrel’s in Jennings but they seem to be closed. Any good poboy place in between Jennings and BR not too far from the interstate?

Wife and I tried Darrel’s for the first time during Thanksgiving holidays. She loves a good roast beef poboy.

According to her, Darrel’s was well below the quality of Chris’s in Lafayette.

ETA: Bourbon Street Cafe at the Shop Right in Jennings might be your only bet at this point.

Most places are closed on Sunday. I have this problem every week. I really miss living next to AM Mart in BR.

very few if any cook a roast and slice it up to make them anymore, most get the processed gelatinized deli roast beef and canned gravy.

most places dont even know what a "real" sliced roast beef and gravy poboy is
