My wife works over in the Coursey/Sherwood area so every now and then when I'm off I'll meet her over there for lunch, and Bullchicks and South of Philly are both in the rotation. Along with Willie's (if we have time), Pocorello's (if we have cash), and that baked potato place.

I love South of Philly. I've gone to all of their locations many times, I just wish they had one closer to where I live now than Sherwood, especially if it could have a drive-through like the Sherwood location.

You ever hit up the new orleans poboy & gyros? I use to go there a lot back when Rocket's Hideout was across the street.

I eat there occasionally. It's a good lunch spot. The red beans on Monday's is a solid deal.

Looks like Buds is finally happening. Drove by this morning and they had a crew in there putting up window stickers and replacing tables and chairs.

Just saw post on their facebook that they're hiring. Grand opening will be May 12th!

La salvadorena does a very robust lunch business. Not many English speakers, either as customers or employees. Probably keeps the payroll low though.

DeAngelo's? Went there yesterday for lunch. Was the same as always was but hardly anyone in there. What's the story here? Used to be one on every corner but now I think this is the last one left. Wild mushroom calzone was as good as it ever was.

The one off 73 seems to be busy a lot.

I like their Super Deluxe and Florentine calzones.

Canefield Tavern has an application for beverage permit in the window. Did it close?

Edit - oh , I see they had a closed temporarily sign. Must be closed for good now.

Pretty sure Lee’s Hamburgers or whatever is in the old Pizza Hut on Sherwood is done. Not surprised. Still waiting to see who is brave enough to buy the old Walk-Ons on Coursey. A ton of traffic right there.

Anybody know how Los Reyes on Coursey is doing? I’ve eaten there several times and it’s great food, but I never see anybody there.

Lee's bit the dust. I knew it was just a matter of time. That is not a good location.

We go to Los Reyes pretty regularly. It is good food and it seems to always have business. I think it will do fine.
