Just heard Carl Schaubhut, owner of DTB and Bacobar passed away last night.

He fought amazingly hard from what I could see from afar. Wife followed pretty closely since she knew his wife from Auburn and it seemed like he battled back from the brink multiple times over the last several years.
Never visited his LA restaurants but our family loved Fire on 30A when he was there.
