Set oven to 275, prep ribs, cut ribs in half wrap in tin foil with green peppers and onions, put a little Worcestershire in there and cook for 3 1/2 hours.

Set oven to 225-250 degrees
Remove membrane.
Season(rub)to your liking.
Place on a rack, and put them in the oven.
Cook until done...About 2 hrs for loin back, Maybe 3+ for Spares. You'll just need to check.
You may baste a few times if you wish.
Sauce, if desired during the last 20-30 minutes or so.
Leave the tin foil in the cabinet.
THIS is the process you want, hands down. you dont use foil in the smoker, why use it in the oven?
the only thing i'd add is that you could add a tin pan of water/apple cider vinegar on the rack directly below the ribs.

Plenty of people use foil in the smoker.

Season ribs. Wrap in foil. Bake @ 300 for 3 hours. Fool proof.

-you're going to say "it makes them more tender"
no it doesnt unless you dont know how to smoke properly
-you're going to say "it keeps them moist"
you should have a water pan in the smoker anyways.
here's a few baws on the bbq bretren forum speaking on the issue:

He said it had the least beef flavor, with the most smoke flavor.
I thought you were just talking about wrapping meat, in foil, in general.

Not boiled or cooked in a freaking oven.

If we're being fair, malvin is on a job site where he didn't have access to a grill.
This was more about adapting and overcoming than trying to be Jacques Pépin, or Aaron Franklin.

I'm just tired of people being overly critical, calling people names, belittling everyone, and not offering any constructive criticism.
I don't even know if anyone bothered to give you any tips in here, but the people who were rude didn't bother to apologize. I'm tired of all this negativity. It's ridiculous.

LSU Tiger Bob gave great advice on cooking ribs in the oven. I concurred. You followed up with a smartass remark. So get off your high horse; you act like an arse just as much as anyone.

Apologies to Tiger Bob... I meant to reply to BRgetthechackbay

You're out of line, big time.
You're rude, argumentative, and need to apologize right now.

Do I need to kick an arse?

I need an apology. Right now.
