Would you use this? This is the 1-2 serving bag. The larger size is coming soon. It can be used over 3,00 times. To clean, turn inside out and throw in the dishwasher. BTW I'm not sure what platinum silicone is.

You can prep your favorite meal using the Precision Cooker bag and then drop it right into the water bath. After you’ve finished your meal, just seal your leftovers up in your new bag, toss it into the fridge, and reheat the next day with Anova for the same incredible meal every single time. We are releasing the personal-sized pouch starting today, which is perfect for 1-2 servings. You’ll be able to get the family-sized version soon!

Here’s how to easy it is to cook with the Anova Precision Cooker Reusable Silicone Bag: Place contents in bag and roll to squeeze excess air out Close by pressing firmly at top to seal the bag Set your Anova Precision Cooker time and temperature and place the bag in your container to cook.

Actually, although I do a ton of sous vide cooking, I have zero interest in this item because I have a ton of bags tied up in both the fridge and freezer at any time. I'd have to buy about $500 of these bags for them to be worth it...pass. I could see if someone cooks just one or two items each time they sous vide, but who does that? I view my sous vide cooks the same as my vertical box smoker. An empty shelf is a wasted shelf. Since I'm going through the time and moves, I'll buy things on sale and cook as much off as I can, which requires multiple bags.

I've yet to buy a foodsaver because I just don't need anything else to take up space. It's been all ziplocks to this point but I'm sure I'll break down at some point

Dude, if my foodsaver machine crapped out today, I'd be purchasing another tomorrow.

Once you get one, you'll kick yourself for not having one already, and it's not just for sous vide.

The model I have pops up with a press of the button and takes up four inches of counter space.

I like the idea, but I'm with Degas on this one. I freeze way too much stuff that I then sous vide that it's just easier with the rolls of food saver material.

V 2865. I think I purchased it at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon at the time. Not sure if they still have that model in stock. Here's one on Amazon. Understand this was over three years ago, and again, if this unit failed today, I'd be replacing it tomorrow. It's that valuable a tool in my kitchen.
