I mean, I love they’re going all out to give big proportions, but at what point is it just bad service?

I just ordered a meatball sub. They piled the thing with meatballs and put an extra layer of marinar sauce over the top. It was mouth watering. But I had no way to eat it. I had to use a fork and knife. It was still excellent but I’m torn on over the top food

You didn't have to eat it all.

I have to restrain myself from punching the chef.

I guess eating in a straight jacket could get messy.

I’m eating at my desk. And you can’t pick the thing up at all because the sauce got everywhere on the outside of the sandwich

Did you get any marinara on your shirt?

No, thank goodness. I took off my vest and somehow managed to keep from spilling on my good white button down. But that’s because I used a fork and knife on a sandwich

I dislike piled up, sloppy sandwiches (except for the roast beef poboy). If it disintegrates after the third bite, it's not really a sandwich. I also hate "sleeper tomatoes" that cause the whole sandwich to slide apart. Those things need to be next to the bread and some other ingredient that sticks....otherwise, you bite and the sandwich slides sideways.

A Darrell's Special came to mind reading this post.
My favorite part is they only have those tiny, cocktail napkins.
