Nah it became Petra which is ok at best. If you like Mediterranean food zaman next to smoothie king on Airline is pretty good.

Doesn’t sound too promising. May be a Subway supper. Are there any can’t miss places for andouille, boudin, etc to take home?

Don’s on Central Ave in Reserve has good andouille and smoked sausage. Not far from Riverside.

Wayne Jacob, Bailey’s, and Jacob’s are also good in LaPlace.

Wayne Jacob's Smokehouse.

If you are lucky, they may have their butterbeans and shrimp.

Call to see when they are open.

We ate there yesterday. One of my all time favorite places.

Laplace has several good lunch spots but most of them close in the evening. There’s La Carreta if you’re into mexican. A lot of people shite on Frenier’s by the lake but I haven’t had a bad experience in the few times I’ve been. There are a couple new restaurants down peavine road too that might be worth a try.

Back in the day, Connie's on River Road in Reserve used to have a great Roast Beef Po-Boy. It's still there, and has expanded to a larger restaurant. Less than a mile from Riverside.

St. Rose Tavern on River Rd in New Sarpy does a pretty good RB po-boy. I find other things at Parkway better than their RB, but St. Rose Tavern's RB is similar.

Make the short drive down River Road to St. Rose.

Truck Farm Tavern is really good.

I appreciate the recommendations. I was just about to leave work when everything got crazy. Needless to say I missed opening day!

Oddly enough Petra (where bulls corner used to be) has really good food. Try it.

Freniers Landing food is average to below avg with a nice view.
