There's Tsunami (Asian), The Gregory, Stroube's. All are BR quality dining. But they aren't chains.

Just curious, but is there a reason you're limiting yourself to downtown? I'm having trouble understanding the transition from wanting to get out of the garden district rut to it's gotta be downtown.

In answer to the question - not much down there. I think the other post covered most of it other than Cocha. I've heard good things about that place.

Please don't blame it on covid...it was dead before covid even hit...the mayor the city council and the DDD have accomplished that on their own...
Other cities our size have a much more vibrant downtown district WHY CAN'T BATON ROUGE

Very true - Mayor Dumas tried to revive it in the 1970s - from what I’ve been told

Downtown Baton Rouge has been struggling for a while - I used to work downtown and there are some residents of the parish and maybe nearby parishes that just don’t like the idea of a prosperous downtown - why wouldn’t anyone want that?
