Going to be in the Dallas area this summer. Suggestions for brunch spots, hole in the wall places to fine dining are appreciated. So far off the top of my head I've been to:

Trulucks
Coal vines
Bread winners
Rockfish
Kenny's burger joint
Fireside
Lark in the park

Good one.

Breakfast spots:

Johns Cafe on Lower Greenville
Gold Rush Cafe

Mexican:

Mia's on Lemmon Avenue...small, crowded but worth the wait.

pizza...Louie's....It's a dive bar with great thin crust pizza. They have other Italian stuff but never have tried it.

Cock & Bull...Neighborhood dive Bar with chef driven menu.

Good Friend- Great bar with good food.

Barbecue- Pecan Lodge

Burger- Angry Dog

Pecan Lodge reopened in their new location this week. It's legit.

I ate there last weekend. Pizza is turrible. It seems to have gotten worse the last couple of years. Zolis is a better pizza choice in Bishop Arts area.

If you get up to North Dallas there is a place in Plano called Whiskey Cake...always packed on Sunday so make sure to call ahead. DIY bloody mary bar.
