I will be taking my wife to Charleston for her birthday and I was wondering what restaurants y’all recommend. All price ranges are welcome and no Asian food.
Thanks
Thanks

Steak. Halls great atmosphere for a date. Their fried green tomatoes covered in seafood sauce is unreal good.
Seafood. SNOB or Hanks both solid seafood and close to the market.
Various. Circa 1886, Charleston Grill or Peninsula Grill (coconut cake is famous)
Many other places and a few high dollar fixed menu places if you are into that.

SNOB
167 Raw Bar
Leon’s for the Chicken
Lewis BBQ
Bruco will also vouch for the ordinary. It was closed for renovations when we went so didn’t get to try it.
We did have four different orders of fried chicken in one day though. Husk for brunch (with waffles), Edmunds Oast, and then two orders at Leon’s to cap it off (with oysters)

I just got back last weekend and echo Husk, 167 Raw Bar and Lewis BBQ. Butcher and Bee was a great brunch that was lighter than our previous meals.
The starters at FIG were better than the entrees and I thought it was overpriced.
Also had good east coast oysters at Quinte and great cocktails at Doar Bros.

I skip Husk at all cost. I get so tired of seeing every yuppie I know on fb and instagram check in there. Like I'm going to wait an hour for facebook-worthy food.
