Friends invited us to meet them there Saturday. Anyone familiar with this place?

I ate there about a year ago when we were visiting the in-laws and I thought it was really good.

We all really enjoyed our meals and the service and view were nice, too.

I know it gets mixed reviews but I had a great experience there.

I've been to Lake Arthur once in my life, and it happened to be opening weekend of the Regatta. It was pretty damn good, and better service than I would have expected for an opening weekend. If they have improved since then (hopefully they have) then it should be a perfectly fine meal.

My parents are from there and their family still lives there. They go probably once a month or so and enjoy it.

Wife and I will occasionally take a road trip out there for lunch on a weekend, it's always solid. Their back deck is really nice when the weather is good and the service is always good.

I ate there once about 10 years ago and I still think about how good their mushrooms were. I wish I knew how to cook them.

Been twice in the past 6 months or so. Can't remember what I ate the first time but the fried catfish was better than I expected. Would order it again.

Thanks all. Sounds like a solid place to enjoy a good meal with good service which is almost a thing of the past.

I went there a few years ago. It's pretty good.

I got the ribs. They were really good. I like the setting too.

I'm from there, lived my whole life in Lake Arthur until about 5 years ago.

Very nice ownership and service, the last I remember.

Ownership changed about 4 years ago. They struggled for a bit getting the right crew and chef going but they have it figured out now. New owners are good people as well. The location and atmosphere make it even better. Really surprising gem in the rural are it sits in. I've taken the boat there 3 or 4 times from our camp or from the launch down the road from me in Jennings.
