I want to do fajitas, but the refried beans are my problem. I tried buying refried beans in cans, but they are to thick. Is there a way to thin them some.
How can I do refried beans at home?

Throw them in pot and either add broth or milk to desired consistency

Hot skillet with high smoke point oil/lard/fat
2 cans of pinto beans.
Strain half of one of the cans, blend
Full strain the other can
Add both to hot pan, season with Mexican seasoning, mash the non-blended beans while they pan fry

I’ve bought the isadora brand in a bag. Pop them in the microwave and they aren’t bad at all. Much, much better than a can.
