Opening a Peju 2019 Cab this evening. What is everyone else drinking tonight/this weekend?
I have several bottles of Peju. Nice stuff.
Tonight I had a David Fulton Petit Syrah. Sadly the vineyard was sold and they ripped up all of those beautiful petit Syrah vines to plant Cabernet. It’s sad drinking a great wine that will never be produced again.

Do yourself a favor and track some this down. It is cheaper to buy online and pay the high shipping costs through winery direct that buy it in the States (if you can find it). Probably my favorite visit last fall in Montelcino and we visited about 9 wineries.
Ciacci
On the way out of Florence, I bought a case of this and just opened the first bottle on a Buddy's 35th Bday last week. It was amazing. We plan to drink one each year on his Birthday going forward. Gives me a decade to get another case. Maybe the best wine we had in Italy over 12 days.
Ampio
My favorite winery after a week of touring Spain a couple of years ago. Again, you can order direct from the winery. You will not be disappointed.
Clos Mogador
All of these wines will easily age for a decade. Buy a case and throw it in the basement. Drink one bottle per year and take notes.
It will probably cost you $2,000 but to enjoy that over 10 years is a bargain.

Been on an Amarone kick lately for some reason. Have a Ripasso to fill that void at home that I may pop open this afternoon. Anyone else a fan.

Anyone down in the southern Livingston, Gonzales area, Diversion Pizza runs a wine special on Wednesday. They have a bottle of the week that rotates weekly. Last week was a cab Fran from Argentina, called Calayhus week before a red from Argentina that is Italian varietals called Unico Zelo Pastafarian.
Different stuff all the time, you can taste and the wine of the week or choose from the wine list. Bottle of wine, large salad and 12” specialty pizza or 10” cauliflower pizza for $37. The meal will feed a couple.

I picked up a bottle of Chat Fou today and the lower tier Paso Robles Cab from Austin Hope called Austin. That’ll tide me over for the week.

Had a great one last night with a steak dinner at a friend's house.
2012 L'Esprit Des Pavots
A Bordeaux blend from the Sonoma winery of Peter Michael.
Fantastic.

Opening a 2019 Caymus that I was gifted 2 years ago. Say what you will about Caymus but I enjoy it.

Peter Michael is one of my favorites (all of them), but most likely out of the price range for 95% of the people posting on this thread.

Where are y’all getting Peter Michael? It appears that you can’t order direct from them with shipping.

We had a long running wine thread years ago that eventually faded away.
My favorite weekly drinkers:
That last one is hard to find. The only place I see it regularly is Destin Ice Market near Rosemary Beach. I clean them out when I go.

Totally different price range, but their Napa Valley Reserve is very good.

I was on their waiting list for over a year and starting buying from them in 2015. I get an annual allocation twice a year. Their winery in Napa is also awesome. Their wine is unreal. They produce 3 of the best chardonnay's I have ever tasted. Sorry you accepted the challenge?
