saute some onion, celery, bell pepper & garlic till soft.
dump the blue runners on top, maybe thin out with a little stock or water.
split and fry some links of smoked sausage
cook some rice
rice, beans, then the sausage with some of the grease from the skillet. parsley on top, cornbread on the side

I slice my sausage and fry it with my veggies dump tehm in my rice pot dump in the can of beans add water and rice like ya would do if cooking alone then add a pinch of salt turn rice pot on and go take a shower when ya get out all relaxed its done.

Get some quality ham hocks - go to a good meat market.
Sautee your sausage, pickled pork, ham, tasso, andouille, whatever with your onions, bell peppers and celery. Then add your beans and stock/water. It's a pet peeve of mine when you can tell someone just sliced sausages directly into boiling water.
I never use a crock pot -- or God forbid, an InstantPot -- for beans.

Bluerunner New Orleans Style Red Beans is what you are looking for.
Cook some GOOD sausage in a pan.
Put the Blue Runner red beans in a pot. Heat the beans up. Put the sausage in the red beans. Season them if you want.

beans at my house every Monday this weeks were red beans so very good I had a bowl for breakfast. Monday beans lead to tootday the next day
