recs on a deep fryer

My deep fryer gave up the ghost and I need a replacement. It was a Waring Pro DF280, and I found it to be a PITA.
I will use the fryer for good Louisiana seafood for a family of four, so I don't need anything huge (no turkeys or anything-- I have that covered). I'll likely haul it in an out to the patio to use it.
Any good recommendations (preferably based on personal experience)? I'd like to keep it under $150, but don't let that limit opinions.
Thanks.

Get you a bayou classic 2.5 gallon fryer or R&V Metalworks if you want something better made. You only have to swap the grease every 6 months or so depending on how much you use it.

Thanks for the propane fryer recs. I was thinking electric, but maybe I need to make the switch.

For big volume I use the bayou classic
Small volume just a good ole $30 presto kitchen kettle

I mostly deep fry fish, fries, etc. Never personally cared for a watt burner fryer. Propane burners and cast iron pots of various sizes.

I plan on getting the Cajun RV from Stines.

I don't do a whole lot of deep frying, but when I do I usually just do it in a cast iron dutch oven. Got a basket to fit it I put the stuff in and drop it down in the oil.

That looks like the Cadillac. I don't think I could justify it. Thanks.

Cajun Fryer Made By R& V Works. It’s made in Homer, Louisiana. Real thick gauge metal. I love it a lot better those cheaper ones. They have several sizes. I went ahead a bought the big one. Doubt I ever have to buy another one in my lifetime.
I see others said to buy the one I recommended. Guess I ought to read past the first question asked. Those that said Cajun Fryer by R&V are right it’s solid built.

This man knows!
Also: French fry pro-tip: use beef tallow instead of canola/peanut oil.
