Going on a trip to Asheville in a couple weeks and want a nice date night meal for me and the SO away from the other family for a night. Any type of cuisine, although a traditional steak house would be nice as well. Would like to keep the check around $150 at the most.
Thanks in advance everybody.

was their recently and there is a tapas style place named Curate ... great meal and experience.

Cúrate is an excellent Tapas bar in a really neat space but one meal I'd go to the Admiral. Not a steakhouse (which is a good thing imo) but they do serve an excellent ribeye.

Did some reading about Curate and it sounds good. I'll look into Admiral as well, didn't see it mentioned on trip advisor but I only glanced at it.

Overrated.
I've really enjoyed 7 Sows. The Admiral is legit too.

lol. overrated by who? It's a top 3 resturant in Asheville. It's a must hit for any food conscience visitor. Felix Meana, and Katie for that matter, are straight out of a little old place called elBulli. A place so overrated they throw Michelin stars at it. The 7 Sows rec is solid.

Go look up Where to Eat In Asheville, NC A Spicy Perspective.
A great list of top places to eat in Asheville. We enjoyed Cucina 24 and Limones. Both restaurants were recommended by locals.
Check out Wicked Weed! I can't wait to go in a few weeks.

List of places from when we went a few years ago, that i have provided to friends in the past:
Storm Rhum Bar & Bistro - Was really cool, we had a drink here, but the food looked good
Bouchon French Bistro - Definitely go here one night, get a Croque Monseur sandwich
Laughing Seed Cafe - Vegan/Vegetarian place my sister told me about, they had a good grilled cheese
The Bier Garden - Enough said
Vincenzos - Some of the best italian you'll ever eat. They have a piano bar too, but not like Pat Os
Mountain Deli - This was in Hendersonville, it was good eats, but only if you are there.
Limones - Interesting Mexican food, but it was like with a hip vibe. Had some kind of Habanero margarita that was pretty good
Carmel's Reatuarant - Ate there for brunch, good stop over.

Vincenzo's closed in February. if you want good Italian on your next trip try Cucina24. It's more contemporary but they do a great job. Make a fine cocktail too. For a more traditional laid back place like Vincenzo's try Strada.

Every time we went by Limones there was a line outside of it, I was there 2 weeks ago and we went to Bier Garten but they do not do small pours on the weekend if you want to try a few different beers. We missed not making it to Wicked Weed as it was highly recommended.

Next time there's a line out Limones try the White Duck taco shop. It's been my jam as of late. That said, the ceviche sampler at Limones is insane

I've been twice and both times the lady friend and I were underwhelmed. We both agreed that we'd had better meals that were actually cheaper when she comes to visit me in NOLA. And certainly I've been to 3 better places in Asheville.
White Duck is legit. When I'm there we generally lunch there one day. Always go to the location in River Arts. Still haven't tried the "new" location.

I loved White Duck too. Curate is a cool place.

Just take her to The Wedge and fill her up with Iron Rail.
