Obviously, Stone will have a ton of great IPA options. If you are staying downtown, check out their Little Italy location. It is small, but they have a great tap selection.

Try to make it to Modern Times if possible. They have the juice and they do it very well.

Right outside Petco Park, you'll find Half Door Brewing Company. This place makes a ton of great IPA's.

Stone and Ballast Point are the first 2 San Diego breweries that come to mind, but there are almost certainly more smaller joints that would probably be solid

If you end up wanting to try some BA stuff, give Societe Brewing a try.

throw a rock and go into the brewery you hit with it

I try to go to Modern Times every trip out there. We usually do Green Flash too, but...

Right down the street from Modern Times in North Park is Thorn Street, which has some really good stuff, and it's next door to a damn good BBQ joint

- Stone's Tap Room is a great experience. Very fun atmosphere.

- Pizza Port has a location in Ocean Beach.

- Not sure if you plan to leave San Diego, but east of Carlsbad in Vista is a cluster of several breweries, including Belching Beaver.

good call. I always forget to add them when giving SD recs, but they are making some damn good stuff. Well, Solana Beach is. not sure about the other locations.

That’s a good move. Did that and went check out the beach for a minute.

Also... there is that place that has the hidden speakeasy that’s nice. Is it friends?

If you get a chance, head a few miles north to Torrence. Monkish Brewery Co. makes delicious IPA’s.
