Ok . Well if you cook it until it shreds it will be dryer than a mule fart so you will have to use a sauce. It doesn’t have enough fat like a butt to do a good pull.

But get tough with it.

Read my first post. Cut to length, cook with veg, and shred altogether. Not dry at all. Promise.

If you want real BBQ pulled pork then we are on the wrong path. I'm talking about cooking pork loin.

Or you can mix whatever you make with BBQ sauce and call it BBQ, but then you are an imposter.

Nor only a waste of time but money as well I would think a pork loin would be a dollar a pound more than a Butt.

But as a man, you can never forget about shrinkage.

Or butterfly the loin, stuff it with boudin and a bit of good pepper jack cheese, then wrap it with bacon slices. Bake at 375 until internal temp reaches 145° Rest 15 minutes and slice.

I've done loin in the crockpot as well. You can add all sorts of sauces to the finished product to ensure it's moist. We add salsa verde and serve it with cilantro & onions on corn tortillas.

i thought cooking a pork loin past 160 would be dry as shite

Well according to the article if you pull it off anywhere from 160-190, it will be dry AF. Idk...I've never took loin past 150. We buy the whole loin at Sam's and I cut them into 2" steaks. Vacuum pack 6 to a pack and cook as needed.

Bottom line is if I want pulled pork I'm going buy a shoulder and save the loin for anything other than pulled pork.
