Mrs Pimp waited table there for years when we were dating and the owners and their daughters were close friends . Mrs Pimp was shook when she read this. The end of an era. Thankfully their recipes like Rama spicy, ants climbing trees etc are part of our regular home menu.

This sucks. They were my introduction to Thai food. Still have not had a better pad Thai.
Can you share some recipes?

This has nothing to do with Baton Rouge and everything to do with overreaction to a virus.
That place was a Baton Rouge institution. It had been there FOUR DECADES without a problem.

Baton Rouge doesn't seem to have enough restaurant diners to provide staying power to even a fraction of the restaurants that we have.
A new place opens up and everyone floods it, for just a few months or so, and then everyone returns to their usual 3-4 places they go, and that new place is suddenly empty.
FWIW, This was posted in the thread I made about the Rum House closing.

How are you going to rank Rama and not even know what Rama spicy is

So people try new restaurants and eventually settle back into the regular few they like the most, ground breaking

The quality and quantity of locally owned restaurants in BR is 10x better than it was 10-15 years ago. Obviously this shutdown is going to close some of them but others will open.

I'd be hard pressed to call that decor? Sort of like eating in a old converted dentist office building. Always hated the mirrored walls. When we were there a couple months ago we commented on the filth on the walls that hadn't been cleaned or painted in ages. But I did enjoy the food.

Everyone knows dirty restaurants always got the best food.

Would die to get the Rams spicy, or something similar, recipe. Sure I could wing something close but that was one of my favorite things of anywhere in BR.

Man, if you’ve got recipes, you gotta share with the class.
