Questions about cleaning prepping dry food items

I don’t necessarily clean every item I use for food prep in soap and water or stick in the dishwasher.:
For example; Measuring dry items like flour or sugar in spoons or cups, I just rinse and put back on shelf.
Ok or no?

When I'm actively working in my kitchen, I keep a bowl of sanitizing water in my sink. One tablespoon of chlorine bleach per gallon of water. I keep a bar towel in there to wipe down surfaces and gently used items.

Yes, you can introduce bacteria to your measuring cup, especially with flour.
But the chances of…. the bacteria being introduced to your measuring cup, then having the right environment to grow, then being transferred into your next meal, then not being killed while cooking, then multiplying to a dangerous level…are very low.
Yes, it can be a problem.
No, it’s not a high concern.
No, it’s not something I would worry about.

This is what Chef Jean-Pierre does although I never use this method bc my cooks don’t take that long and it’s a lot of work IMO.
But to answer the OP’s question….dry goods in a measuring cup just get wiped down and put back in the drawer at my house. No need for soap and water for that IMO.
