Can you use a empty (big) jar of Claussen pickle juice to start a batch of fresh pickles??? I mean damn, sumbody ought to now Dat

Sure. You need to sterilize it. The problem is you need a new unused lid if you want them to last more than a few weeks in the fridge.

Yes I do this all the time. Slice thin and let them sit for a week. Works really well.
