Question about cooking baby back ribs in crock pot

Recipe I found said put em on low for 8 hours. It's been 4.5 hours, and the meat is cooked. They KINDA fall off the bone. Pretty clean, but they don't disentegrate into softness if you know what I'm saying.
Will leaving them in longer continue to soften them up, or am I going to dry them out?
By the way, recipe calls for taking them out at 8 hrs and baking on some bbq sauce. Hopefully somebody reads this soon, cause them mfers are simmering away.

They will turn to mush, it that's what you like.

Thanks. I think I'll go for a happy medium and take them out at between 5 and 6 hours.

Ribs without smoke should be against the law.

BS, I grill ribs with a soy sauce mixture that would have you say "Ribs not grilled with a soy sauce mixture should be against the law".
And I like and smoke a lot of ribs.

First start fire in smoker add hickory, pecan, cherry or apple wood whichever you like. Get fire up to 250, remove membrane from ribs and apply rub. I use Chris Lillys recipe from his cookbook. Place ribs in crockpot wit lid off then put crock pot in the smoker.

Fellas, i ain't got time for fricking smoking ribs.
They turned out delicious. I think next time I cook them a little longer, though.

Yet you cooked them longer than you would have to smoke them
Go figure

I've actually made that recipe before when I wanted ribs on a week night but couldn't smoke them due to that whole working thing. You'd be surprised at how good they come out. Just throw them in there on your lunch break, and they are ready for dinner.
Forgot...Did you have the cooker on high or low? I believe the 8 hours is for when you do it on low.

Yeah, in a crock pot. Are you capable of distinguishing between these two methods of cooking? One is substantially more labor intensive.

I've never done it baby back ribs but I have with bone in "pork fingers." I usually let them go almost 8 hours. Then take them out, sauce, and put under the broiler for a bit. Good stuff and an easy meal.

My Pit barrel Cooker is set up to cook in 5 minutes and requires zero attention after set up. And it has ribs done in 3 hours, and I can cook 8 racks at once. My way is easier than OPs.

Cool, so OP should have just ordered the $299 package, taken the time to assemble it, read the instructions for cooking since it would be his first time using it, and then cooked his ribs. Sounds a whole lot easier.
Some of you people, I swear.

Just out of curiosity, where in your post I replied to did you bring any of that ancillary bullshite up? Here's the post to jog your memory:

I'll save you the trouble, the answer is nowhere. We were talking about how labor intensive the process is, not any of the other stuff.

I do brisket in the crockpot or Dutch oven to make brisket tacos. Salt and pepper and dust brisket in flour and brown. Add cut up onion, .25 cup tomato paste, small can tomato sauce, two cans green chilies, few chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and about a quart of beef stock. Cook for 3 hours in oven or 5 hours in crockpot. When done and meat will shred remove meat. Use stick blender or put sauce in blender and blend until smooth. Mix some with the meat and put the rest in a squeeze bottle.
Maybe add a tablespoon of red wine vinegar to sauce to brighten it. It will keep for a month for all your Taco Tuesday's.
