I wouldn't be in this thread if I did this.

Yes.

And once you are done, the stress is still there along with the guilt for polishing off the ice cream.

A never ending cycle of stress.

Yup.

And it was obvious what I've been doing but still unable to put the brakes on until yesterday.

You think he invented the ketogenic diet or something? Or do you just believe that it doesn't matter how many calories you eat as long as you don't eat carbs?
I know he didn't invent the keto diet and I still think you should limit your calorie intake but I don't agree with the statement that he's a quack. His book makes several good points and people are getting excellent results using the method.

There's way more than one way to skin a cat, each person is different and chooses to lose weight differently.

Someone talk to me about "stress eating". I've never, or I don't think I've ever, actually done this. Ever since high school I've found the best stress reliever is to go to the gym or go for a run. Do you just pick up a thing of ice cream and don't put it down? Always been curious when I hear or read someone talk about this.

Yep.

I'm not a big stress eater. I do stress eat sometimes, but typically I'm more of a big "I'm bored" eater, or a mindless snacker. If I'm watching TV I want to snack on something, or if I'm watching a movie. Like I need that oral fixation.. it's a pain in the arse.

I'm a bored eater, just grab something to snack on while watching TV or sitting around and next thing you know, you've eaten more than you planned.

I had a good day yesterday stayed at 1200 calories and still cheated with a snack pack of skittles and snacked on some starburst

People say he's a quack because he tries to say calories don't matter and exercise has zero effect on weight loss.

I think this discussion has been held a few times in this thread.

I didn't say keto doesn't work. It's silly though to think you can eat as many calories as you want and still lose weight as long as you don't eat carbs.

Ended up at 1650 calories after dinner
My daily goal is 1680 so that isn't bad although I am shooting for 1300 a day. The scoop of peanut butter did me in I guess.

I did jog 2 miles and walk a mile and according to Nike+ I burned 452 calories

How much do you weigh? 1300 is pretty low.

Why the hurry? Your gonna end up losing a ton of muscle eating that few of calories not to mention slowing down your metabolism.

Not exactly a hurry, started working on it in May, dropped weight then picked up drinking more since summer hit and more to do on weekend. Was doing 1500 calories a day and running, but now going to do 1300 run and hit the gym each evening.

Protein shake for breakfast/or oatmeal/grits
Chicken/scoop peanut butter/or fish for lunch
Chicken/lean meat for dinner
Snack on fruits/vegetables during day
Protein shake after my workout and/or run

I usually eat 4 eggs scrambled with a quarter cup of grated cheddar and a couple tablespoons sour cream .
