Minimum. I carry a gallon jug with me. I start at about 6 AM and usually by 1:30 or so I'm finished with that.

I thought I drank a lot of water. I actually love drinking water, but I need to cut coffee down to one or two cups a day.

As expected, I really struggled over spring break. I gained a few pounds over last week and avoided the scale at all costs through this week. Had a pretty good week this week, and finally weighed in again this morning, and I'm back down to where I was prior to Spring Break.

Now, if I can hold my own over the weekend, I'll be good to go.

Here's to a great weekend

Also, to those of you who know much more than I do on the topic:

Does drinking a couple of glasses of wine mess with your weight in the same way that drinking beer does?

What are the differences in the affect it has?

Yesterday someone brought in two dozen chocolate covered donuts with sprinkles. I was able to resist the donuts but fell victim to the carrot cake next to them.

I had to go back to 6" subs at Subway I think the $5 foot long was over doing it.

I drink several glasses of red wine every night (no beer) and it hasn't affected my weight. 258/210/210. Been at 210 for weeks now. My neighbor on the other hand who is beer drinker, NOT.

I think the wine issue would cause problems if you are in low carb induction.

If you are in ketosis and eat too many carbs, you can gain from 5 to 10 pounds of water.

I've gone up 10 pounds on only 1200 calories a day when moving back to carbs, so the water weight difference between your carb engine and your fat burning engine can be significant.

I tell people at my office all the time they need to add 5 to 10 pounds to their goal if they are doing low carb because they second the switch back to the carb engine, they will gain 5-10 pounds.

One lady didn't believe me until last week when she gained 5 of her 10 pound loss back.

I've gone up 10 three times since last June when having too many carbs. Some was real fat from cheats but plenty was water.

Last Christmas I gained about 19. And when I went back into induction, I dropped 10 pounds in 2 days, water.

In summary, if doing low carb wine is not good because nobody drinks only 3 ounces of wine. You would be better off drinking a Miller Lite.

If you aren't carb restricted, then wine in moderation is fine.

This is why I moved my goal weight from 250 down to 230. I can easily deal with 6'3. 250, but I want the cushion of the 230-250 range.

Wednesday weight gain is hanging on for dear life. I need to get that weight off. I don't want to be the biggest gainer in the last week of the competition.

323/163.2/159

The good news is that even after eating the office kitchen on Wednesday,I was still under 165.

165 is my actual goal weight but I've been trying to build a buffer for the water weight I will gain when I start adding lots of carbs back on the menu.
