The 17th and I'm stilling hanging on to Holiday weight.

323/170/165

3 pounds from pre holiday and 7 from my low. I only dropped 2 in the last week which probably isn't going to be good enough to keep me near the top of the office biggest loser comp.

Took me 3 days to get back to my Saturday weight even though I didn't cheat. I think I thought about cheating so much Saturday night my body just assumed I ate Taco Bell and gave me the associated weight gain of a T Bell pig out.

yesterday was my first sub 80 carb day in a very long time. also sub 1000 cals and no alcohol (day 3). mirrors can be enlightening when looked into.

eta: Sorry Myth, saw 157 yesterday and couldn't pull the trigger.

Just completed my first 24 hr fast. Mon 5pm to Tues 5pm. I did not weigh Mon morning but Sun afternoon I was 198.5. Kept my workouts up Mon and Tues and felt pretty good. The last 6 hrs of the fast is when the majority of weight/fat loss is suspose to occur and I think I could feel the fat melting away. Anyway a 2.5 lb difference in that time frame is pretty good. I think I may do this weekly for about a month and track my progress.

i'm doing fast #2 (well official #2..in the past i've cheated with a little cream in my coffee..these 24 fasts i'm doing now i'm deliberately doing coffee black and water only)

197 today to start, looking to be around 194 tomorrow on the weigh-in. i've stalled out at 195 lately; haven't gotten below the line in a while.

also, something else new i've started doing; the spreadsheet runs a rolling past 30 day average of my weight and i consider that my 'true' weight now.

for lack of a better way to do this (since i can fluxuate by as much as 10lbs over a 1-week period) this is very interesting to observe.

here are the benefits:

1. gives me 2 numbers to shoot for: (1) being lower than my weigh-in exactly 30 days ago (wish i could have it automatically text me this number before i go to bed each night lol) and (2) bringing the average down..that sucker is hard to budge either up OR down. it only varies by a few 10ths of a percent on any given day.

2. a truer sense of my real weight; i can't lie to myself and say i'm 195 because i weighed in at that when there are a slew of 197s and 198s over the past 30 days.

this is really nice; i still weigh-in daily and record it, but those dots are grayed out on my chart and the '30 day' dot is blue.

since 7/1 of this year, for instance, my '30 day' has only gone up about 6lbs; from an average of 192 to 198. that gives me a much better assessment of how i've done in that time period and virtually eliminates the day-to-day fluctuations.

anyway, just thought i'd share. every day i learn better techniques to watch my weight:

oh, and last fast was day after the BCS debacle; i was 199 that tues morning and 196 on wed.

today i'm 197 and expecting to see 194 hopefully tomorrow.

next week i'm hoping to be around 195 when i do the fast and get back in the 190-195 range.

now considering my weight avg over last 30 days as my REAL weight and working to make that number drop.

I actually did a bit better than I thought this week in the office competition.

Dropped 3.5 for a two week total of 9. That has me well ahead of everyone even on a percentage. The little lady who lost 4.5 last week gained a little bit this week.

Instead of trying to increase me lead, I DOVE headfirst into the free JAMBALAYA they had for lunch today. Then I DOVE into the tray again.

I'm still probably well under 2k calories for the day but that sodium will cause a water spike tomorrow.

that seems kinda low to me, but if it's working keep at it!

as expected, some initial weight gain when ya lift weights. Should be just water weight.

I know its low and I'd like to be around 1200 but I'm having trouble finding cals with little or no carbs to replace the 200-300 empty alckie cals I've deleled from the daily regimen. Also keeping sodium under 1750. May jus eat mor chiken.

eta: just looked back at my posts from Jan 2011. at 165 on my way to 170 while doing high fiber low fat. I thought 1600 cals was starvation mode.
turned it around late feb with low carb, mod protein-fat.

i know tl;dr. csb.

thats a good thing, I've been keeping it to a few beers(mich ultra) once a week, but the last few weeks have been tough for La football fans and a few turned into too many. Then the hangover cure usually involves bad food

update: 196 today after fast..but I'm ok with that. had the hardest training session in memory with the local ex pro cyclist last night then after 26hours of 0 calories broke fast with a 12oz tbone...too tired to eat anything else...so i was well under 1000 cals and some of this is from sore torn up muscles retaining water. so I'm looking for the pay off over the next day or 2.

eat moar fats
It's the little things that add up the cals. If you find yourself shorting on calories, add fatty things like mayo, ranch, etc. Peanut butter, almonds, etc. There are plenty of ways to tweak up your caloric intake without busting your carb count.
