Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I'm out till 1/11/12 as far as any pretense of self control. (factored in MNCCG hangover).

170/153/145

I'll be lurking and hoping I don't see 160 when I grace the scale in the New Year.

I guess my last weekend blowout is really killing me. Beer, gyros w pita bread, fries, ice cream, nachos, bread pudding

WTF was I thinking, I'm still up from 199 last fri. This weekend is NO CHEAT. I could tell I was off all week, felt bloated. Hitting the cardio all week and really watching the carbs carefully, hope to be back down next weigh-in. I was shooting for 195 by Jan 1, I think I can, I think I can

I'm hoping to get to 80 lost before Christmas. It's been since Oct.1 since I had a big cheat, I figure Christmas I'm going to wind up cheating whether I want to or not.

eta

And Oct. 29th I'm going to cheat with plenty of beer.. so there's that too. It'd be sweet to be able to escape Christmas and that even without getting back above 290.

I might be at 299 again after Christmas Like I said, it's been a while since a big cheat, and I feel a big one coming on strong. But thanks for the praise.

I'm not going to go too crazy. But for a few weeks now I've felt stir crazy. Sometimes you jsut gotta cheat for mental stability. I don't think I'm going to have the willpower to pass up grandma's Christmas Hen & andouille gumbo. And if my godmother makes her famous rum eggnog..

if you're going to have gumbo, you may as well eat the rice. Unless you choose to ignore the fact that the base of a gumbo (roux) is straight flour

You could always have a little brown rice, the last few gumbos I've had I skipped the rice and really didn't get that bloated feeling, but yeah gumbo w/o rice really isnt the same

Bad news....

There were so many leftovers from the Wednesday office Gumbo & Poboy Day that Thursday was also Gumbo & Poboy Day!

Hung on to 167 but I have a feeling that my body is going to hold on to every single drop of water I drink today.

I was able to just focus on the SEC Championship game and not go to a Xmas party after it.

Dec. 7th, 231.8lbs Keep on avoiding those sugar parties.

I was 232.8 this morning so I haven't been on the dropping weight trend. I haven't worked out at all. Only 7 days away from Xmas eve. I'd like to be at 230..

My first Xmas party is tonight. It's a Casino party so hopefully, I'll keep rolling the dice and not eat any bad food. We'll see.

Good job Nimble! You can find many useful tips in this thread. Most of us post our "start/ current/ goal" but you don't have to if you don't want to.

Example: mine is 204/ 179/ 170.

It's nice you have something to motivate you to stick with it. I bet that's a nice gun if it's "safari grade." You should also set another goal of keeping it off a year with another gift. I bet going on a safari would be a good gift for keeping it off a long time. 7 pounds is a good start. You may already know this, but to give some advice, a proper diet is 90%. You can exercise of you want a very good goal weight or you want to get to your faster. However, all the exercise in the world won't substitute a crummy diet. Feel free to ask all the questions you want on here, most have done very well and are happy to help.

I need to post to keep myself honest again. I fell of the wagon hard as all hell this fall. I allowed "starting law school" to be too much of an excuse every time I felt like eating like shite. Time to get this train back on the tracks.

305.5/276/205

276 is up from a low of 250 in June. Gotta get this going now or it was never any kinda lifestyle change at all.

At least you're back on the train

Welcome, NimbleCat.

I made it through the weekend without a gain. I moved to Prairieville and it was a weekend chocked full of cleaning a lot of nasty stuff out of this house that's been practically abandoned, and moving a lot of stuff over to said house. Saturday I had some Arzi's gyros, salad, and hummus. Yesterday I had 4 mich ultras. I didn't stick under 20 carbs/day this weekend but it looks like all of the effort and sweating from cleaning and moving stuff helped keep the gains away.

Your numbers are really steadily coming down. Congrats on the move and NO cheat. I as well didn't cheat this weekend and feel great today. I was at 200 ystdy so I think I'm in a bit of a plateau, but i feel like I'm ready to take it down a good couple of pounds this week.Had some BBQ ystdy and felt bloated after. Sodium? Lets make a strong push this week and have a good X-mas!
