As you can see, there were no reports of a River Ridge man going postal which means the scale did finally stop moving up.

You crack me up Myth. Glad to hear the scale stopped climbing. Don't eliminate carbs to lose it this time or when you go back to carbs it'll jump up again. You should know what to do, complex carbs, low fat, etc

Already on it captain.

I'm still eating the same thing that caused the spike up, just less of it.

I did ditch the rice, but everything else will be things that will make up my regular carb loaded meal plan.

I think it is clear atkins drains the water out of you and the normal carb engine loads you up.

I think that's what happens also. Atkins is a natural diuretic right? obviously the carb engine is not, so water weight will come. Because when I went back to low carbs all of that weight I gained just flew off, then I got back to my lowest weight and even lower, then back to the same ol slow arse routine

Well, I have stayed at my goal weight for over a week, but I still have a healthy disdain for the carbs. Those bastards make me hungry and they make me want more. They are the devil, I say.

Creeping up on 200. Started 3/9/11, so should be able to exceed 60 lbs in 6 months.

The great race to break our respective weight barriers is in full force. You're a pound ahead.. TBH I think you'll win, but I'm going to give it all I've got.

No way I'll break it before next Thursday, which is when I leave for Dallas. I'm not even trying to diet on that trip. My wife and I are driving over. We're spending a night in Natchitoches, where many meat pies will be eaten. I've heard so much on the food board about Johnny's Pizza that we'll definitely stop in Monroe for that. Of course, that still leaves the 3 days in Dallas with all of my old college buddies. Hell, I could be 250 again by the time I get home.

If I were a betting man, my money would be on the Hulkster in this race.

By the way, we're staying in the Steel Magnolias house in Natchitoches. The scene with Julia Roberts in the bath was filmed in our bathroom. I know, I know...csb.

We'll see.. we'll see. Running the c25k program seems to have jumpstarted my weight loss again, so maybe. I'm skeptical still. Good luck on the trip!

Hey CT.. The wikipedia page for chromium picoliwhatever basically rips that product to shreds Talks about how studies don't prove everything it claims, etc.

Alrighty then. I am going to continue taking it though.

Bham, with all due respect: Mentioning Johnny's Pizza AND Natchitoches meat pies on a diet board is just WRONG!!!!

I'll probably give it a try, too. Just was pointing out the wiki page.. although sometimes that doesn't mean anything.

Sorry CT. I'm hoping these result in weight loss and I can add them to my liquor and donut diet.
