Update stardate 08/30/16
My old numbers--
The 210 was as of Jan 2016.
The 187 was late spring.
Today:
210/175/175 (w more muscle)
A few details:
i teetotaled all of Jan and most of Feb but have had mostly moderate alcohol intake since then.
Basically a steady but lazy keto "diet" (now just the way I eat)
I was swimming a lot until this summer, during which I've just remained active outdoors and doing work on my house. No "exercise" since June (I paddle, mountain bike, ski, hike, walk my dogs, and the like plus gardening and rebuilding a deck).
I haven't run since Dec 2015--meniscus tear sidelined me and I don't think I'll ever run again. Over it.
I haven't run long (relatively) distances since a half marathon in July 2015. See above.
I plan to start swimming again this week and riding and paddling more + strength and tone work. Training for ski season.
Body fat has dwindled to just above 10% based on an amalgam of the image charts.
I haven't counted calories in many months. I eat when I want. Never hungry.
My wife, friends and I have come up with all sorts of awesome carb substitute recipes and premade stuff, from badass cheesecake to biscuits.
I'm in my 40s.
It's the sugar, folks.
My experiment-turned-life-change has made me even more sympathetic for all the fatties out there who've given up or are still fighting using the wrong tools/weapons. And I'm now more pissed than ever at the institutions that keep perpetuating that shite.

The Kirkland Signature bars are excellent and half the price. The only problem is there are only 2 flavors right now.
And, the Kirkland ones are so much better than Quest, to me! I dip them in almond butter.
I was just telling my friend this am that bulletproof coffee, plus an avocado with lime, salt and olive oil, plus a Kirkland bar as described, and my special electrolyte drink, all at about 11am, and I could do just that every day (at least a day where I'm not doing anything too crazy) and never be hungry or tired. I mean, who wants to do that, but you could.

Sorry. It's a term of endearment, really. And that's one of my all-time favorite movie characters Kuh-k-k-Ken.
More: I don't think being fat is anything to be ashamed of, so just making it a silly noun isn't meant to be offensive.
I thought I'd never be fat and then 30 came and realized we can ALL be fat. Then the shite i did to battle it was always just that--a battle. One misstep and your fat and/or hungry and/or depressed (or something like it).
I thought exercising would battle it, in my later 30s and early 40s. Same result plus a more worn out body.
The recent revelation (along with scientific knowledge and a better understanding of how we all got to this point) that I'd been doing it wrong has liberated me.
Sorry I was insensitive. I'd forgotten what a civilized thread this is compared to your average OT or PT one!

35 pounds this year?
How tall are you?

About Drew Brees's actual height; not roster height. 6' if I breathe deeply.
Eta: And the weight has been shocking to me. I got into the high 180s by dropping beer, counting calories and exercising regularly (in retrospect it was really just the calorie count). But that just wasn't sustainable. I hate calorie counting, and I was hungry + felt guilty when I didn't work out.
I also plateaued there. In April I went from fairly low-carb to keto and smashed through the plateau. I weighed once in mid-July and was around 176. Then I just weighed again after a pretty raucous month+ with friends and family.
I was surprised it had not budged (and actually dropped a little, but I have a good 3-5lb water weight MOE).

lol
I'm kidding. And yeah, AFCW was great.
You're dead on about the sugar. I was working out and doing cardio from August to January of 2016 like an a-hole and not getting in better shape. That's when I asked Bus for help.
I've lost my DickDo, and don't have any sort of lingering pain anymore. At all.
This thread helps a lot of people.

And on 105.3 FM
Your sports, talk, and information powerhouse.
But tunechi, seriously....
I was talking to a chick today that said she wants to lose weight. I told her the first week is the only tough part. Then you get in shape so fast, and feel so good, you deal with it and end up liking it. You don't wanna cheat at first, because you like making progress.
After a while, when you have a cheat meal, you don't wake up the next day feeling bad at all. The temptation to frick up again will be there, but that's what the intermittent fasting helps with. It'll get ya back in the groove and stabilize your blood sugar more easily.
It's gonna be great after 10 days. You'll feel better, and want to stick with it. Just do it. Start Sunday, after we beat the frickin dog shite out of Wisconsin.

I honestly don't count shite anymore.
You'll learn what you can have and not have, and the amounts after a while.
Pretty sure it's net though.
Youll subtract fiber and protein from the net. I think. Ask Bus.
He's good at math. Real good. Several orders of magnitude better than me.
