Used the weekend as an adjustment/planning/buying period and started full throttle Keto yesterday. Week days should be pretty easy because I don't eat a lot then anyway.
I think my biggest challenge will be handling what used to be my 1 or two nights a week of watching tv series/movies and having a few beers and enjoying a cigar.

Haha yea it's a lifestyle change but you don't have to give all that up completely once you reach your goal. Life has to be about balance.
You should sacrifice until you get to where you want to be then slowly add back in things that bring you joy. Once you get pretty lean it can be maintained fairly easily with just 3 days a week lifting and maybe an evening stroll around the neighborhood. Sure you will have to track macros, but if you go over one or two days for something, no biggie just adjust down the other days to make up for it.
I know I mess with people who drink everyday but if a man can't enjoy a beautiful cigar with a nice old fashion or glass of wine then o don't want to live anymore.
Sure there will be bumps in the road, but nothing a quick 6-8 week cut can't cure. Just remember that while on your initial journey and try to enjoy the ride along the way. I 100% encourage you to sign up for avatar and download my fitness pal and track/weigh everything while really learning to read labels and learning portion size. If you do these things you will have a healthy relationship with food and actually learn the principles of a healthy balanced diet.
Now if you have healthy problems disregard the above, there are prolly other approaches for you.

I wish they'd just move this damn thread over to the fitness board

how long would you let yourself stall before changing something up?
I've been sitting at the same 3-4lb up and down for the last two weeks, and I feel like I'm only patient enough to let that linger for maybe one more week at best before I try something to shake it up, maybe a week of carb cycling or something. I've been pretty strict Keto for a couple months and have been steady with the drop, so I'm probably expecting too much, but I don't want to halt progress if I can help it.
Details: Cals are up a little this week, though nothing crazy, generally averaging 16-17 hundred a day, Shark week starts in a few days
and that seems pretty par for the course. I'm trying to not be too impatient about it, I know that this is the week that brings higher water weight levels, etc.(aren't you glad you're a guy?
) I don't feel like I've gotten as much activity as usual because of the rain, new session with our group starts tonight, and that means measurements, so I'll get a more accurate idea of accountability tonight too.

give it another week until after your cycle ends to see if its just water weight or what.
How close are you tracking everything also? Are you weighing everything, inculding liquids? That would be the first place I look before I went and did anything drastic.
Also when was your last full cheat day or meal where you had like 300-400g of carbs?

I actually don't track water/unsweet tea, but probably should start, I'm tracking everything else anyway, and I'm sure I don't drink enough water, ever.

Before I started this, so like late march maybe.

Thanks. Trying to decide my exercise level for the first week or two.
Light: so as not to trigger excessive hunger.
Moderate: get some increased burn but without huge cravings.
Heavy: burn it all down.
My thinking was to get over the initial adjustment before kicking it up on exercise but maybe that's wrong?
Also trying to find out the carbs in Envie (beer).
What is avatar?

If you're going low carb/keto I'd probably let your body adjust and go light with the workouts. It takes your body a while (4-6 weeks sometimes) before you fully get fat adapted, maybe more for some people. Until that happens you can expect your energy levels to be a bit lower than what you're used to with carbs.
As for the beer...too many. Even mich ultra can be too many depending on the day. Stick with liquor if you're going to drink (imo).

Good morning all. Hit a new non-RFL low this morning, 260.4.
Things are going well on this reverse. I don't know what my weigh in tomorrow will look like, obviously, but I should be down about a half a pound on my average weight.
Since coming back from the wedding, I've been compliant and reliably dropping weight per week, even though I'm reversing. I'm eating more calories/day than I ever have while dieting and still dropping weight.. it's amazing.

new low this morning
Yaayyy! It feels like magic when you finally find something that works & doesn't make you feel awful.
I woke up to a new low today, too. Only a lb, but it's a pound less than where I've been for a couple months.

So finally I got below 180. It was somewhat shocking. Today I need to go to the gym, hopefully they will be there, they weren't Tuesday. I was devastated.

Fingers crossed that she's there!

Me too, always helps to have the extra motivation at the gym.
At least my elbow feels a ton better and not swollen after yesterday.

Good job! You'll look extra buff next time you see her.
Next time she's there, tell her you've missed seeing her there.
