ETA: I was thinking about switching to keto starting Monday since this week was absolutely miserable, but with 5lbs still to go for my January goal, I need to stick to this PSMF and bump up the cardio. My new batch of stimulants should be here this week so maybe that'll help.

Officially down over 20. It's obnoxious how much better you feel everyday when you're not obesee.

Had to fight off the urge of popping open the peanut butter during lunch break. Was able to escape and went grab one of those sugar free jellos. 10cals 0g carbs, 1g protein, 0g fat. Works for me.

I need to switch to something else on sunday besides chicken breast just to change things up. Any suggestions?

How much 15lbs of chicken breast run ya?

Gotta be extra lean sources of protein as I'm trying to stay under 20g of fats and carbs while hitting 220g of protein.

Pork tenderloin is just as lean as chicken breast.

yea pork tenderloin is a good source, so is seafood like shrimp.

but don't feel guilt for going and getting some 95% lean ground beef and making hamburgers either.

and I got the chicken for 1.99/lbs at kroger. they are always on sale there.

I read the 2nd edition you had earlier when the new thread took off...will probably read the 3rd as well (it's not like it's a long read). Any significant changes?

Eggs and fruit in the morning lately, no bread, added sugar, grains, alcohol, or dairy since January 3rd.

Trying to not freak out about being .2 up this morning since I'm on this extreme diet.

2nd free meal is today, followed later by my 2nd workout. It's been a while since I have deadlifted conventionally.. I think I'm going to go that route. I can lift much more weight with a conventional setup rather than sumo.. but sumo is much more comfortable for my fat arse.

210 (a year ago) /165/165

I've hit the rock-steady state. I'm 164 to 166 every am.

I had to revise my goal downward, because I had intended to put on some muscle. I may still, but I was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and started chemo last Fri. I'm staying active and sticking with keto, but it's going to be hard to put on 10lbs of muscle right now. And I'm 100% dry, so that's 10lbs I'd be fighting right there.

Any experience and research you guys have on diet/health while undergoing treatment + for cancer prevention are welcomed.

There are some good studies out of USCw (corrected from e--so used to typing that b/c wife is a USCe alum) about fasting before a chemo treatment, autophagy and fasting-emulating diet and the immune system. I just want to give my healthy cells a strong leg up on the full-frontal attack my body is undergoing.

Sorry for the buzzkill folks!

I actually feel better now than I have since August--the chemo is doing its job on the affected nodes. Walked 6 miles yesterday. Doc says exercise, exercise, exercise. Eric Berry (KC Chiefs' SS w/ my exact disease/stage) is my inspiration on that front.

I just don't want to be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life for side effects like uhm leukemia.

I'm so sorry to hear that. You are doing an amazing job and keep fighting the good fight. I don't know anything about nutrition and exercise with cancer and chemo, but exercise should go a long way to keeping you strong to continue fighting and staying positive. I'd argue that weightlifting would probably be very beneficial on that front, but you definitely should consult a doctor about that because, again, I know nothing about that.

frick 245 this morning. 265/245/200

Its mostly water weight from beer, but I'm not happy. First time I've really had alcohol in 3 weeks, mightve had too much.
